Samsara

This experimental film explores the Buddhist concept of reincarnation through a non-linear, sensory-driven approach. The story follows a single soul across three lifetimes—as a tree, a cat, and a human—revealing how small acts of kindness allow it to ascend through the six realms of rebirth.

Through layered visual compositions, rotating mandala imagery, geometric patterns, and hand-drawn animation, the film creates an abstract representation of karmic cycles and spiritual transformation. Sound elements, including the turning of a stone wheel and monks’ chanting, further immerse the viewer in the cyclical flow of birth, death, and rebirth.

Blending post-production effects with experimental animation techniques, the work draws from avant-garde traditions while maintaining its own unique visual language. It invites viewers to experience reincarnation not as a linear narrative, but as an interconnected, ongoing spiritual journey.
